If you liked “Adventureland,” this should probably come as welcome news. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart, who played the inexplicably somber leads in an otherwise comedy, are reuniting in what is described as an action comedy called “American Ultra.”
THR reports “Project X” director Nima Nourizadeh will direct the film from a script by “Chronicle”‘s Max Landis. Eisenberg will play Mike, a stoner who lives in a small town with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart). “One night, their lives take an unexpected turn when Mike’s past comes back to haunt him, and he becomes the target of a government operation set to wipe him out.” Filming is scheduled to begin in April 2014, pending the film’s sales at AFM this week.
“Twilight” star Stewart just booked a small role in Tim Blake Nelson’s “Anesthesia” and recently wrapped “Sils Maria” and “Camp X Ray.” Eisenberg has “The Double” and “Night Moves” coming out and was last seen in surprise hit “Now You See Me.”
