After two Sundance hits in “Like Crazy” and “Breathe In,” director Drake Doremus is now casting up his next feature, with Deadline reporting Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart are in his crosshairs for “Equals.”
Not much is known about the plot, though we do know it’s a sci-fi love story. “My next movie is going to be a sci-fi, love story written by Nathan Parker, writer of ‘Moon.’ An incredible collaborator, we’ve been working together for almost a year now and hopefully we’ll be making the movie sooner than later,” the director told Little White Lies magazine in July (via The Playlist).
Stewart, forever associated with the “Twilight” saga, recently wrapped a pair of indies, “Camp X-Ray” and “Sils Maria” opposite Chloe Moretz. Hoult, known for his role as Beast in “X-Men: First Class” and the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” recently wrapped the adaptation of Gillian Flynn bestseller “Dark Places” opposite Charlize Theron.
