Clik here to view. A bunch of the people behind “Saturday Night Live” have gotten together to make a movie and set “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene as one of the stars, reports Deadline. “Staten Island Summer” follows two friends in the summer after high school graduation and will be produced by Lorne Michaels and John Goodwin.
SNL’s director-producer Rhys Thomas will direct, while longtime head writer Colin Jost wrote the script. The story is about two friends, Danny and Frank, who are working as lifeguards in their last summer together before Danny heads off for Harvard and Frank has to figure out what to do with his life. Greene is set for the role of one of the pool club members, a sheltered daughter of a mobster and a love interest for one of the boys. Filming begins later this month in New York.
Greene played Robert Pattinson’s sister vampire Alice Cullen in all five “Twilight” movies, and was last seen in horror “The Apparition” opposite Sebastian Stan and indie comedy “Butter” with Jennifer Garner. She’s wrapped rock music indie “CBGB” and another horror flick, “Random” with Haley Bennett and Lucas Till. She’s currently shooting Zach Braff’s Kickstarted comedy “Wish I Was Here”, in which she’s replacing “Twilight” co-star Anna Kendrick.
