Do you see the resemblance? According to Deadline, Ron Livingston and Ashley Greene have been cast to play Elvis and Priscilla Priestley in indie drama “The Shangri-La Suite.” It’s not a biopic, though, and they’re not the main characters. Luke Grimes and Emily Browning play the young lovers at the center of Eddie O’Keefe’s fictional drama, which just began filming in Los Angeles.

O’Keefe wrote the script and is making his feature directorial debut on the tale described as being in the vein of “Bonnie and Clyde” and “Natural Born Killers,” which follows two young lovers (Grimes and Browning) who break out of a mental institution in pursuit of the boy’s dream of killing the king of rock and roll. With Livingston and Greene cast as the iconic couple, I’m guessing Grimes’ character actually gets pretty close to his goal.

Greene played Alice Cullen in the entire “Twilight” franchise, recently wrapped Joe Dante’s “Burying the Ex” opposite Anton Yelchin and will next be seen in Zach Braff’s “Wish I Was Here,” just announced to be releasing in July. She also has indie comedy “Staten Island Summer” in the can. Livingston recently appeared in a pair of indie rom coms alongside Jake Johnson – Joe Swanberg’s “Drinking Buddies,” also with Olivia Wilde and Anna Kendrick, and “The Pretty One” with Zoe Kazan.
